Abu Sarhan, 57 years old police officer from Basra, Iraq who suffered left knee infection. He is a married man and is a father of two twin girls. In October 2016, he had a total knee replacement because of the infection in his left knee causing excruciating pain. Nick had a total knee replacement when his doctors opened up the knee; saw that the knee was infected. The doctors removed his infection and irrigated his knee (washing the knee out) and changed the infected part.
Soon the antibiotics and therapy stop showing its effect and his health began to decline and his mobility was compromised and this starts getting worse. Nick was tired and depressed. It seems like his knee starts swelling at a rapid rate, all this time he was still on the therapy and the antibiotics doctors recommended him.
It was going on and on that nick was trying to hold on to the therapy of his doctors and waiting for good results, but clearly nothing worked.
“Though I was physically in a lot of pain and mentally miserable I didn’t lose hope. All this time I have realised that all that you need in moments like this you need is your family and have patience to try different therapy as single therapy may not work in the first time”
After some weeks his neighbor saw him in his state of misery and suggested him joint replacement surgery hospital India for his treatment. And with nothing to lose nick decided to give it a shot.
“I came to India with so many questions and was totally baffled but since medical tourism company offered so many different packages and I have to admit that they were actually affordable, I didn’t think twice.”
Joint Replacement Surgery Hospital India and his team took the treatment step by step starting from X-rays which has showed that the infection is being spreading to his muscles, bones and tissues. His treatment was to take everything with is infected out, treating the infection by putting in the antibiotic spacer for several weeks and for around eight weeks nick has that antibiotic spacer in his leg. After this everything went well, no infection was found and he was ready for a new knee replacement surgery.
“Coming to India was one of the good decisions. The staff there is amazingly passionate and is very helpful. The time of the surgery and every other important detail was explained to us by the doctors and the rest of the staff made sure to keep things in that exact order. While I was busy with my surgery I took some time to travel and see the culture and the beauty that the city holds. ”
After the surgery nick went to California and within duration of six weeks he has resumed his job and now living his life to the fullest with a painless knee replacement.
“I am a strong person but this surgery left me stronger than ever. People say that I must change and must look at life differently now but I feel more alive than ever and I consider it a chance to fulfil all my dreams and I don’t intend to waste it i want to perceive my career as I use to earlier and stronger than ever.”.
