Flynn Campbell from Australia Thrilled to Be Walking Pain-Free again, Thanks to Partial Knee Replacement Surgery in India

Flynn Campbell from Australia being a very active man with an equally active family, he had been having an irking and difficult life due to knee pain, which caused hindrance in everything he tried to do. He could not go out for a walk, climb stairs or do exercise. His work life was also suffering. A mere 10 minutes walk would initiate an excruciating pain in his knees. He had been consulting a local orthopedics in Australia, who had him to get knee done.

By the time Flynn Campbell was 36 years old his left knee was bone-on-bone causing constant and severe pain.  When the pain was completely intolerable to him, he decided to go for the knee replacement. After scrolling through the internet, he learned about the partial knee replacement surgery in India. While going through the details, he was excited and looking forward to having it done. To speed up the process, he called joint replacement surgery hospital India and enquired about the process. He received opinions from at least 5 doctors from partial knee replacement surgery hospital in India through the case manager. Later, with the assistance from his case manager, he planned to get the surgery done in India.

Joint replacement surgery hospital India team made all the necessary arrangements and documentation to help him come to India. Soon, the Flynn arrived in India he was assisted from the airport to the hotel. Next day, his appointment was scheduled with knee surgeon at partial knee replacement surgery hospital in India, who has performed nearly 50,000 knee surgeries so far. During his appointment, he gave a detailed case history related to his knee pain.  Prior to meeting with surgeon Flynn had learned about minimally invasive knee replacement and felt that, given his activity level and desire to return to her gardens as quickly as possible, it was the best way to go, so he discussed about this option with during this consultation. After having the knee x-ray done, the doctor confirmed that he can undergo minimally invasive bilateral knee replacement surgery. Shortly, the date of the surgery was scheduled.

Flynn was quite nervous before the surgery; however, he was made to relax by the hospital staff. Also, the doctor met him and assured that he was going to be absolutely fine. On the scheduled day, his pre-operative tests were conducted. After the reports, he was taken to the operation theatre. The surgery was carried out for nearly 3 hours. “Traditionally, knee replacement was done through incisions that were about 8 to 12 inches long, then, to get exposure to the knee, you would need to turn the kneecap.” said the operating surgeon.

Soon after the surgery, the patient was shifted to the ward. He was made to stay in the hospital for the next few days for the recovery. “I was thrilled,” he said. “Before surgery, it was an effort to walk for 10 min. I’d walk and then look for a spot to sit down on because I couldn’t stand the excruciating pain much longer. The recovery phase was difficult but the staff was very co-operative. It was the best orthopedic hospital in India.” Eventually, he got discharged and flew back home to Australia.

In less than three weeks after surgery at partial knee replacement surgery hospital in India, Flynn was back doing what he loved and already able to walk the one and a half kilometer walk-around at the local park. Flynn attests that his entire experience at partial knee replacement surgery hospital in India made the postoperative pain and challenges of the knee replacement worthwhile. “Joint replacement surgery hospital India all showed concern about my pain and seemed as excited as I was about my progress.”
